Yeah that is about right. We typically see 2-5 micro inches gold over 150
+/- 50 Nickel.

Subject: [DC] Plating thicknesses

We will be gold-plating some of our PCB's, and our manufacturing department
has requested that
we put this note on the fab drawings:

Plating: Land will be 3 to 8 microinches gold immersion over 100-150
microinches of electroless
nickel over base metal.

Do these thicknesses look right? Some folks in the company are questioning
whether this is
standard for most fab houses. Thanks in advance for any insight.
