Marie,

The (+) sign means that you have to put your international exit code in
front of the number. I have also noticed that Gene has included a 0 after
the 44 this should be omitted if you are dialling from a country other than
the UK. So if you are dialling from the US the number to dial is
011 44 1462 713024.

44 is the country code for the UK. The number should be expressed as
+44 (0)1462 713024.
