history.  e2E Corporation is formerly known as Praegitzer Design. e2E
specializes in delivering expert engineering services using best-of-breed
tools. With an Engineering Services Group dedicated to EMC and signal
integrity analysis, a core competence in designing printed circuit boards
and partnerships with established fabrication, and contract manufacturers,
e2E's customer base has grown to include industry leaders. It is unmatched
in the service bureau industry providing comprehensive project management of
guaranteed end-to-end engineering, design, analysis, fabrication and
assembly for PCB-based products.

e2E Corporation currently has an opening in the San Diego, CA office.  We
are looking for Design Office Manager with experience on Cadence.

Design Office Manager

Primary Tasks:

*       Manage multiple design projects. Including quoting, scheduling,
meeting with the customer. Primary contact for the company and for the
customer on projects.

*       Coordination of design resources to meet the schedules and project
needs of many projects. This will include delegation of projects to other
designers of all levels and outsourcing projects or parts of projects to
other design offices to support your customer's requirements and schedules.

*       Work directly with a variety of high technology customers to
accomplish or manage all phases of circuit board design projects, including
dense, high-speed multilayers, from schematic input through full
manufacturing output.
*       Work as part of a design team for larger projects, able to
accomplish individual tasks on short notice, including but not limited to:
*       Customer input processing and design database setup.
*       Library parts creation and checking
*       Placement and Routing, including auto routing interface.
*       Process and check all fabrication, assembly, test, and archive
output.

*       Monitoring of all local personnel:
*       Monitor project performance.
*       Assure staff adherence to company operating standards and policies.
*       Participate in staff reviews, hiring/firing recommendations, and
assisting management in handling appropriate human resources issues.

*       Interface directly with sales department to plan local sales and
resource allocation for current and projected opportunities.  Responsible
for working with local Account Executives.

*       Assist in training designers or engineers in various layout tasks
and efficient use of the tools; assist in ongoing development of training
curriculum and materials.

*       Responsible for local office maintenance and needs as well as for
acting as the local Company liaison.


Minimum Skills and Requirements:

*       7 years of diversified CAD based circuit board design experience.
*       4 years of recent full time experience on the appropriate CAD
system.
*       2 years of supervisory or management experience in design or related
technical or customer service business.
*       Computer literacy on UNIX and PC/Windows based applications and
systems.
*       Ability to interface unsupervised with:
*       Customer engineers, managers and changing requirements.
*       Downstream support processes (fabrication, assembly, and test
vendors) to provide turnkey products.
*       Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
*       Well-developed problem solving skills to assure win-win resolutions.
*       Good people skills
*       Team player.
*       Positive attitude.
*       Sales or customer service experience a very definite plus.
