I am sorry to announce that Glenn Wells, a talented PCB designer, teacher and leader in the design community, passed away last month.

Affiliated with IPC-Association Connecting Electronics for over 20 years, Glenn was an active member of several IPC standards committees.

He also helped to develop and guide the Designer Certification (CID and CID+) technical education program, and the Designers Council network of local Chapters. In 2008, Glenn received an IPC Special Recognition award for his contributions to the industry.

Glenn served as an IPC Master Design Instructor, an IPC Professional Development Instructor, and Chairman of the Designers Council Executive Board..

Glenn worked for a number of leading-edge companies throughout his career, including: Rockwell Collins, Sandia National Labs and Honeywell. His latest position was with MIT Laboratories in Cambridge, MA.

Glenn will be remembered for his outstanding teaching ability and his wide range of expertise in design and assembly.
