          Speaker: Jim Hixson - ADI

          Topic:

Design for Manufacturability seems to be a popular buzz-phrase
these days. What about Design for Operability? Will my circuit
          even work?

Jim Hixson will overview and discuss the types of data errors that
will destroy a tight design schedule, force design re-spins and drive
development costs though the roof. Find out why revision A is
inevitable and how you can help prevent its occurrence.

Jim Hixson is the Product Development Manager at ADI, a Design
Rule Analysis software firm in Herndon, Virginia. ADI's software
reads CAD output data and reports inconsistancies between this
data and the CAD database. ADI's Pro-Circuit Builder product
boasts multiple installations at corporations such as Sun
Microsystems, Hewlett Packard, Compaq Computer and many,
          many others.

          Directions -
From DC and points North of Springfield:

Take I-95 south to Exit 167 (Backlick Road South). This is
about 1 mile after I-95 leaves the beltway heading south. Continue
on Backlick Road through the underpass and straight past the
light at Boudinot Road (McDonald's on your left). Backlick has
now become Alban Road. Go « mile. Turn right at sign for PS
Business Center. Bear slightly right and go down the center of the
parking lot to the first building on the right (7406). Go in through
the main lobby doors and follow signs upstairs to the conference
          room.

          From points South of Springfield:

Take I-95 North to Exit 166. At end of the ramp turn left (at light).
Go until road ends at light on Fullerton Road. Turn left (use far
left turn lane). At next light turn left again onto Boudinot Road.
At the next light, turn right onto Alban Road (McDonald's on far
          right corner). Continue as above.
