Dave,

I believe you  need Adobe Exchange to write .PDF files (from any windows program that prints).   I've used
CAM/CAD from RSI (www.rsi-inc.com) to import  gerber files then I would print using the Adobe
(Exchange).PDF writer thus creating the image file.
