I've seen a lot of systems. I haven't seen "List of Materials" for about 30 some years. And then, mostly in the Architectural world.
Parts List was used by most engineering and mechanical groups up until sometime in the late 90's?? Maybe early 2000's. I think you're right about the MRP software changing it to BOM. That seems to be the norm now.
