I checked out the website and process sequence.
Try building 99% of the conventional MLBs boards consumed globally today economically competitive with this process....NO WAY!
I will watch for it at my local theater :)

Sorry, Charles, but it is already being done on a production scale. Check
out Verdant, as one example. http://www.verdantelectronics.com/process.php.
Joe Feldstadt has made some serious advances in this technology.
There are many companies, including Analog Technologies Corp who are
currently using laser-ablated additive processes for making very advanced
solar-powered arrays, etc., as well as 3D solid modeling.
Gotta get with modern times, folks. FR-4 will still stick around, but kind
of like outhouses at the cabin. Reflow ovens will go that way also. In 10
years they will both be obsolete.
I said it right here, June 14, 2014.

Hi folks,
I have been involved in the bare board industry for 48 years this year and
seen a few serious attempts at replacing tradional manufacturing methods
including companies such as Photocircuits, Western Electric (ATT) and
MacDermid.
I am not one to discount innovation but for several reasons we will not see
an "additive" process replace conventional methods on a broad scale,
technologically or economically It is nice to dream however.

Interesting article(s) on the 3D printing industry and where they see it
going... what effects it will have on manufacturing and product
development...

No doubt additive processes will replace the 100 year old etch process.

Someday.

People have tried for years. Metallized inks seem to be the stumbling
blocks.
We may be getting closer, with material advances like graphene.
