Considering the application I would use VR#

If it is being used as a transient suppressor similar to a varistor that is my suggestion.

We are using a SIDACtor Transient Voltage Suppressor in a new design.
This component uses thyristor semiconductor technology so it isn't your
typical suppression diode. This may sound strange but we cannot decide
what we should use as the reference designation prefix for this parts
symbol.
on the schematic. Would it still be treated as a diode? A typical
application
for this type of part would be in a modem. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
