As some may be aware, Conformal Coating is an increasing necessity with modern
circuit designs. However the cost of this is frequently high due to the need
to either selectively coat or mask components that should not be coated.
Can anyone assist me in finding a way of including this as a design feature in
circuit design software such as the Gerber file?
By way of explanation, should it possible to arrange the assembly so that
connectors and other non-coatable devices are located on one edge only, then
inexpensive but high volume dip coating techniques could be more easily
adopted.
