I have seen this in this thread before but the minimum height is 0.040"
tall text.  This is about all a silk screen can handle.  Of course we no
longer use silk screens on the board, we simply give our people a PDF
file of the silk screen artwork so that they are able to search for the
reference designators.  They actually like this much better than an
illegible silk screen.

I seem to remember, from my earlier experience, minimum 0.060 height and
0.008 line width for reference designators.

I seem to have missed this when looking through IPC-22XX and IPC-60XX.

Can someone please save me some time and quote me the up-to-date minimum
height and line width, as well as the spec which lists that?
