This IS the format that Graphicode uses for their files.
(they also use XWK/CWK).
I use it almost exclusively when sending data to the PCB manufacturers.

It can be opened with GC-Prevue/CAM/Place/PowerStation etc.

Although if it's a newer version, the older versions of the programs (that people preferred to use) 
cannot open it.
