Gary:

Here at Amherst Systems, we archive by zipping up each rev and storing to disk.  When enough archival data
has been accumulated in this "holding area",  we off-load it to CDROM.  We use our file server as a holding
area for efficient use of the CDROM.  We only write to the CD when we have enough data to fill an entire
disk.  Greater space savings than tape and quicker access are the key advantages with this approach.
