We do the same.

My point is that the MCAD systems are MUCH better at this than the ECAD systems.  Which is why I think it would be a better use of development efforts to make a better interface between the two.  Why try to basically put an entire watered down MCAD system into the ECAD system, when it already exists in a much more complete form in actual MCAD software?  Let ECAD do ECAD and MCAD do MCAD, and focus development efforts on better linking the 2.  The old adage "Jack of all trades, master of none" comes to mind,.

As for Silkscreen, yes, a shortcoming in the existing IDF interface (better interface?).  I had to write a script from PADS to add markings to Solidworks.
