     Pete;
Just who is it that is doing the benchmark? I have seen many
benchmarks in the past that seem to be tailored to the design
system/VAR that is doing the benchmark. What criteria will this
benchmark include? Routing... sch - pcb integrity... ease of use..
     packaging... documentation...
I believe that I need just a little more info on just what we are
expecting as a return on conducting the benchmark before I can show my
     support for such an event.

     Have a nice day,

I've noticed quite a bit of discussion on this forum about tools -
who's is the best etc. A couple of weeks ago we posted a call for
participation and/or comment for PCB Benchmark '98. We received only
one response from this forum. Are you folks really just not interested
in an open benchmark? Do you have feelings one way or the other about
the PCB Benchmark series? Are you familiar with "the Benchmark"? Or do
     ya just not care.
We brought this thing back because attendees at the PCB Design
Conference were asking us to, but haven't seen much interest from this
     list. What's da deal?

     Pete
