Hello everyone,
I have never worked on a project that required anything less than using
FR4-94VO material, but the chance to make a low-cost, mass produced,
non-industrial product has come up, and I would like to know if anybody
can tell me if there is any significant cost savings that can be made
through using a different material. I don't want something that
compromises the performance characteristics of FR4 too much, but am very
unfamiliar with other materials, besides flex and polyimide. Any brief
run down on alternatives is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Richard Hatano
