hello.
I am new to this forum. I run a pcb design bureau in australia.
I am about to start a series of designs for a satellite and need
to know which pcb materials are suitable. I know of BT/Epoxy and
Polyimide and also rogers 4003 and arlon 25n. the first two are
widely used in military / aerospace and the second two probably will
be. 4003 and 25n have better thermal conductivity and this is why
i lean towards using them. does anybody have experience in selecting
laminate materials for space use and if so can you let me know what you
would specify and why. Could you also tell me how to contact a pcb fab
house that is also experienced with these materials. are there any
special design parameters i need to be aware of for boards used in
space? besides obvious mechanical and thermal considerations.
thank you
regards
