Doug:

We build our footprints to comply with IPC SM 782 (or at least very close to
keep our aperture files within reason). Our in house SMT facility has no
problems that I know of. The resistor patterns are fine, but beware of the
Chip Capacitor patterns. They are wrong (incorrect, bad and ugly). A new
revision will soon be published by IPC, and if you contact them, they
probably will fax you the latest data on chip caps. Basically the pad sizes
are incorrect for 1210's, 1812's and 1825's. They are adjusting the data for
all the chip caps (0402 thru 1825).
