Bill is right on the observation that no designer will be elevated to director status. I do know that Nilesh and at least one other director are highly cognizant of the DC's needs and are active supporters. It's really a different string, but two quick thoughts on the board makeup: 1) it is already huge -- too big, I would assert, to get things done, since there is always "someone else" who can be responsible for it, and 2) it's not the diversity of population that makes for a good board but rather the diversity of thought. Better to have 5 persons who can look at things from all angles than, say, 50 who are generally uninvolved.
