Yes, bring your questions. Bring your suggestions. We've got colleges
on the west coast asking us (IPC Designers Council members) what needs
to be in these curriculums.

Here in the Northwest, we've been attending the ET advisory boards of
local colleges. The members of these boards are electronic engineers,
managers, manufacturing, and technicians from local companies. They get
very (positively) excited when we talk about PCB design & wanting more
education available.

We're planning on having a PCB Design, Associate of Applied Science
Degree program in place by the fall quarter 2002 at one of our local
community colleges. Then, the idea is to get some of us oldies to go in
and teach. And the colleges like that idea, too.

Subject: PCB College Education meeting at PCBWEST

PCB Education enthusiasts...

We have changed the tentative date for the PCB College Education
meeting.
Looks like the best time to have it for all parties concerned is going
to be
WED night around 8:00PM in the bar at the Westin... That will give us a
chance to listen to the Porch Dawgs (I wouldn't want to miss the great
music!) for awhile and have some fun with you all before we get
together...
Let me know if you will be attending... feel free to show up... good
ideas
are always welcome...

Also Cherie Litson will be at the IPC Designers Council Booth and will
discuss the education activities with all interested parties on WED and
Thurs of the convention.
