Come on, Jack. Don't get me started about this stuff again :)
By the way, y'all, only one person volunteered to help out with the revision
of the land pattern website to match the new standard, including the DC
executive board. From the underwhelming response, I will probably just do a
version for in-house use. I guess it's time to join the "what's in it for
me" crowd ;>

I can't help but notice that the "working draft" of IPC-2152 is dated
November 2002, and ThermalMan was created in December 2002.
Has this project gone commercial on us now?
There sure was a lot of hype about this a couple of years ago, and still
nothing practical for the common man.
Is the IPC document release being delayed now that it has been turned into
a money-making machine?
(If anyone is interested, the working draft on IPC can be downloaded by
clicking the "DRAFTS" link here:
http://www.ipc.org/committeedetail.asp?Committee=1-10b )
Maybe the "history" IS becoming "sordid"?

Okay, that's two grouchy posts from me in one day... tomorrow I'm turning
over a new leaf!

The history of these charts is pretty funny, maybe sordid is the wrong
word.

What Mike is creating is really a much better
tool than the charts could ever address...
Thanks for the comments.
