I'm interested in knowing if there is a commercial standard for marking that
could be used in place of MIL-STD-130. We mark most printed wiring boards, and
mechanical parts per MIL-STD-130 and would like to get away from this spec.

If there's no commercial standard, how do you secure the durability of marking
put on by suppliers to meet internal process (chemical cleanings, solder
baths, etc)?

Thanks in advance,
