I want to thank everyone who answered my question.  I was able to "fix" my
problem by splitting the one trace on one side to two smaller ones on different
layers.  Fortunately I had the space to do this with NO difficulty.  Life
should akways be so simple!  I passed my DRC cleanly as well as my connection
check PLUS I made a few brownie points in the process.
