Ditto....

I read most e-mails and many times feel that the annual membership fee, if
it gave us the e-mails alone is a deal / bargain that I would gladly pay out
of my own pocket ( hey, I do !!! ) as it gives me a broad perspective,
outside of my own little world, that being PCB Design.

Bill,
I think most on the list end up seeing the answer they would have given
posted long before they may have time to send one themselves.
I too try to respond if I have something to add to the topic.
Most times I see the same thing I could have said already posted
by the time I checked mail. If I have something to add to the thread
I will usually do so.
Bob

Jack,

You know the funniest thing about this forum is... there are over 500 people
signed up in this forum... look at the message I get back when I post...

"Your message dated Thu, 10 May 2007 10:12:36 -0700 with subject "Re:
Current vs. Temperature (IPC vs. PCBTEMP)" has been successfully
distributed to the DesignerCouncil list (504 recipients)."

Now how come I only see posts by less than 10 people on this thing?

I think we have a lot of 'lurkers'... and they could contribute to the
conversation.... But they don't for some reason... why is that?
I would like to see a roll call of who finds this forum useful and would ask
that they voice their opinions more... good dialog and discussion is what
makes this organization a worthwhile thing to belong to... Who are you and
what makes this organization valuable to you? The whole concept here is to
work together to improve the lot of designers... their education, and
prestige in the industry... and hopefully we improve the lives of the
manufacturers by making better informed design decisions... that make the
boards more manufacturable and testable.

I would like to hear some other opinions besides the few that are brave
enough to speak them... It's your designers council... use it to the benefit
of your profession... make a difference... be a part of the solutions...
etc...

Am I wrong?

Hi Bill,

no problem, I didn't read it as disrepect at all!
I was just disappointed because when I write a question I'm always hoping
that lots of people will start talking about it. I love hearing people talk
about some of these issues, but then sometimes a post comes along that kind
of ENDS the discussion, you know what I mean? I was just hoping it wouldn't
end yet, that's all.
(I probably sounded snotty, sorry about that)

Anyway, thanks for sharing your "high current" experience with me, I
appreciate it!

Jbro
