Question-
We use untented vias that have a finished hole size of .008 (+.003/-.008
tolerance) on boards that are .062 or .090 thick. Has anyone tried putting
this small of via in a smt land? Our boards are reflowed and wave-soldered
typically. I was told that since it is such a small hole, the solder-paste
will not be sucked down the hole during reflow. I don't see a problem when
it is wave-soldered, but is there a concern here also?
thanks in advance,
Joel McGinn
