Design for Assembly and Test Workshop
Onsite at Eagle Circuits
March 22-23, 2004 in Dallas, TX

Instructor: Dieter Bergman, IPC

Designing for assembly is more difficult today than ever before, especially for surface mount technology. Designers are faced with the design issues of surface mount versus through-hole technology, attachment materials, electrical testing, and new specifications.

Keeping pace with the newest technologies is critical. Implementing the best possible design provides a company with the competitive edge and avoids costly errors and rework. This workshop will acquaint designers with the information needed to handle the new assembly design requirements of the 21st century.

Participants will be given an opportunity to discuss topics and then immediately see its application onsite. This unique experience allows for extensive interaction with peers and workshop leaders. IPC is grateful to Eagle Circuits for allowing IPC to present this workshop at their facility.
