Dee-
These days - you really need not bother with it, unless you have some
special requirements. The board shop will add it themselves according to
their preferences and processes.

Subject: [DC] plating bar - where in IPC

I have looked up every word I can think of in the IPC stuff.

Where in IPC standards does it tell you how wide the main bar should be
and how wide the connection between the bar and the fingers should be?
If it doesn't specify this data shouldn't it be added?

I found where they define plating bar in the terms - (hoping for a
pointer to the info I was looking for)

I used to just use what was in the CAE Libs but this current lib the
edge fingers don't have the plating bar. I thought I should know how
should actually be done and tried to look it up. Surely there are some
sort of do's and don'ts on this topic?

Thanks,
