Hi,

As former Cadence employee, quite recently former, Cadence is NOT in
financial trouble. The entire industry (electronics and EDA) are in a slump,
but it won't last forever. Recently, Cadence let go (laid off, terminated,
whatever you call it) about 2% of its worldwide workforce to bring expenses
in line with revenues. They are still #1 in EDA. They are strong and will be
around for a long, long time. When it comes right down to it there are only
3 major players left, Cadence, Mentor and Zuken. Of the 3, Cadence's PCB
tools (past, present and future) are, without question, the most stable.
There are better tools out there but you certainly can't go wrong with
Cadence.

Best regards,

Mario Irigoyen

Subject: [DC] Question regarding Cadence???

Hi!

I've got a good one for the well informed out there!

I've heard from different sources that Cadence is having threatening
financial difficulties right now.

Is this any true???

We are looking into buying new CAD licenses from Cadence right now...
and if this is real, it could change our mind drastically.

I'm not pretending that my sources are any good, therefore any
information's about this would be greatly appreciated.

I just need to know if I'm being misinformed.

Best regards,
