Topic: PCB Layout Techniques When Using Micro/Metric Pitch BGA's

Secrets to successful routing that PCB Designers can apply
today!

Presentation by: Tom Hausherr, CID+ Director of Technology - PCB
Libraries, inc.

We are seeing the JEDEC packaging and consumer products increasingly shrink
packaging on an annual basis. Designs are being driven to use microVia's
with the use of uBGA's. Learn what the IPC-7351A standard has to offer the
Electronics Industry and how to apply it in our everyday product design. Tom
will also update us on IPC-7351A recent revision change, Getting back on
grid! Why is it necessary? He'll demonstrate how you can eliminate design
errors by producing 3D model data for your PCB layouts to integrate into
SolidWorks

Tom will inform us of these secret design techniques used by service bureaus
for years, fan-out techniques, placement rules, routing planning - hand
route or auto route? Have success with our auto routers of today when
implementing these standards, grided vs gridless? Which is best and why?
What effects will it have on our design process?

Tom Hausherr has been in the industry for over 30 years, from owning and
operating CADPRO for 12 yrs, developing PCB Standards and Library Software,
establishing IPC-7351 standard worldwide and currently CEO Director of
Technology for PCB Libraries, Inc. PCB Libraries has received several top
honor awards such as: Design Vision 2007 Award from IEC; IPC Award of
Excellence and It will be a learning experience for all to hear from Tom who
is helping the Electronics Industry transition to the metric system and
standardization of IPC-7351A.
