There are two (or three) DPAK packages.
DPAK is a JEDEC TS-003 (or old TO-252AA)
D2PAK is a JEDEC TS-005 (or old TO-263AB)
I'm not sure what the D3PAK is but heard there was one.
IPC-SM-782 provides footprint information for the TO252/TO263 in section
8.11. The physical data incorrectly represents all three devices shown in
chart at the bottom of Figure 2. Grab an original copy of datasheets for
these two devices at http://www.jedec.org as they are "free" once you sign
up for a free sign-in account.
The TO-368 referenced in the IPC standard isn't available so I don't know
where they got device number. Good luck.
