Dear board designer,

You are receiving this e-mail because our records show you are either a
circuit board designer, layout expert or you hopefully know of a
colleague(s) who is!

This is an invitation extended by the Ottawa chapter, IPC designers
Council, and the Rogers Corporation of Connecticut, to as many people as

possible (in the 613 area code) who may have an interest in high
performance circuit board materials and their use in high speed
interconnect designs. Sample of topics that to be discussed are:

1. Effect of conductor roughness on insertion loss and PIM

2. 1-50 GHz dielectric properties of Rogers High Frequency Circuit
Materials

3. Thin dielectric materials for high frequency applications

The speakers from Rogers will be Mr. Kreg Almand and Dr. Al Horn (a well

respected
expert in PIM).

How much? No charge.

Where? The venue is yet to be confirmed but will probably be at the
Holiday Inn, in Kanata. The location will be dependent on the number of
confirmations we receive by Wednesday the 21st.

When? The date is set for next week, Wednesday, August 27th at 19:30

This will be a relatively informal seminar. Refreshments and snacks will

be provided. Questions are very welcome and encouraged. This will be a
great opportunity to network and we also hope to generate some interest
in the revival of the Ottawa chapter of the IPC Designers Council.
Topics for future activities will be welcomed.

Please reply to this e-mail so that we may plan accordingly.

Looking forward to hearing from you! Please RSVP as soon as possible.
Confirmations will be returned Thursday/Friday.

Sincerely,

Richard Ellinger
