 The Susquehanna Region Chapter of the IPC Designers Council Announces an

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                Overview of IEEC
Commercial Electronics Teardown
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

      Date:     Wednesday  Sept. 24, 1997

      Time:     7:00 - 9:00 pm

      Place:    IEEC Conference Room
Watson Engineering Bldg. (South East corner of 1st floor)
SUNY Binghamton

       Fee:     Free (members and non-members)

All PWB designers are invited to a discussion lead by Richard Redolphy, Sr.
Research Support Specialist, at IEEC, of his experience tearing down
consumer electronics to identify what leading edge technology was used in
their construction. IEEC has stressed looking at state-of-the-art, high
volume, low cost electronic assemblies. A wide variety of electronics have
been torn down, including digital cameras, cellular phones, pagers,
automotive engine controls, etc.

A way to stay up with technology is to see where the high technology
consumer electronics are headed.

A partial list of the hardware teardowns and information on the IEEC can be
found at: http://www.ieec.binghamton.edu/ieec If after looking at this
list you have a preference on which teardowns to discuss make your
preference known when you confirm your attendance.

(The IEEC is the Integrated Electronics Engineering Center located in the
Watson School of Engineering at SUNY Binghamton.)

To get an idea of attendance, please RSVP
