I think IPC gives a new expiration date 12 months from date of payment only
if the renewal happens after a specific number of days after a membership is
terminated (from what I recall it's either 30 or 45 days).

or Susan at 847-597-2872. I'm pretty sure they'll adjust your date if you
tell them your situation.

I agree with your assessment of the membership fee if you let it lapse.
I personally renew it year to year and so have the same expiration date all
the time... but I see your point of having let it lapse and then getting it
anew... They may not have their program set up to differentiate between a
lapse and a renewal... You may have to write them an e-mail explaining your
situation to get it corrected.

Howdy-
I recently received a DC membership invoice from IPC. If I pay my $50, I'll
be a valid member from Sep.1-04 through Aug.31-05. I'm thinking I might
re-up if it entitled me to membership for 12 months starting the day they
got my money, but I don't really like the deal as presented. It's not a
maintenance fee, it's a membership fee. I hadn't purchased spec's at half
price or taken advantage of any other price breaks during the 'lapsed'
time.
As far as I'm concerned, I haven't been a member since last September (but
my brain's not that limber since hit by that timber). If I re-join, it
should be for a year from when I re-join.
Anyone else recently receive a belated invoice? (Or feel the need to rhyme
from time to time even at the risk of great personal embarrassment?)
