Does anyone specify on their electronic parts drawings orientation of parts
on tape and reel? Our assembly people have had some reels of parts from
different manufactures come in with a different orientation.
We could put EIA-481 on the drawing to try and hold the manufactures to a
consistent orientation. Then main problem we would have then is with diodes
or polarized capacitor. The specification references pin 1 for
orientation. I don’t know of any agreed upon standard to what is pin 1 on
a diode or polarized capacitor. Does anyone have experience with this or
have a suggestion?
