Northern Illinois IPC Designers Council Meeting Notes 
The council members met at Excel Electronics to begin

IPCA311 Section 3 of PE740 was the planned discussion item.
Chandra Dave "Dave", and ViJay Oza "V.J." were the hosts for the discussion. Information regarding AMS procedural documents, Gerber file type educational information, and preferred input criteria, were passed out.

Our hosts then proceded to give us a guided tour of
the facilities, all facets of fabrication of PC Boards
were discussed and shown.  It was nice to see senior
members with more design experience helping newer
members understand PC Board production.

After the tour of Excell's facilities, we adjourned to
a tour of AMS photoplotting's shop.  There V.J. showed
the group how film was plotted and his specific input
criteria and how PCB designers could improve their data
before sending out for manufacturing.  (Snacks were provided here while the discussion was held)

Then our hosts invited all to join them for an evening
eating celebration, It was Thanksgiving all over again !
We dined on excellent Indian cuisine  at New Delhi located at the SW corner of Meacham and Shaumburg Rds. from 7:30 til 11:00.  They finally had to get the moving carts to roll us out. (This evening meal was provided free of charge
to all attendees courtesy of AMS Photoplotting and Excell Electronics.)

Future Meeting plans are to have a meeting at an PCB Assembly facility,
possibly Westell's.
