The Pacific Northwest Chapter of the IPC Designers Council is happy to
announce the addition of a Design Certification Workshop to the schedule for
this summer on July 31, 2000 - August 2, 2000. We would like to invite you
to please sign up for this most important 3-day event. As technology is
continually changing and competition for high tech oriented positions become
harder and harder the workshop provides a great opportunity to strengthen
your PCB design skills and provide you with an edge against the competition.
Many companies are even starting to require this certification as a
prerequisite to employment.
The Workshop and test have also been revised to the new IPC-2221 & IPC-2222
Series superseding IPC-D-275. We are also looking to form a study group in
the area. If you would like to participate in a study group please let me
know.

The Design Certification Workshop will be held at the Phoenix Inn in
Beaverton, OR.

The cost of the Workshop will be:

$435 for IPC Designer Council members
$535 for non-members.

Different packaging and pricing is also available. For details go to the IPC
Web site www.ipc.org and look under the following links IPC Designers
Council > Certification and Education. To help reduce this cost even further
you can also utilize your $50 voucher you received from your IPC Designer
Council membership.

To register please download the registration form following the links to the
IPC Certification site under www.ipc.org , fill-out the registration form,
and fax or mail to the location specified on the registration form.
Remember to specify the new Workshop date and location on this form because
it is not on the form as of yet. An on-line registration will be available
after April 24, 2000. If you plan on attending please sign up by June 15,
2000 in order to get everything processed in time. If you have not signed up
by then and would still like to attend please contact Ruth Delker by email
at [log in to unmask] or by phone at 503-819-4895.
