Greetings Robert,

 Thanks you for the note,
It points out a lot of pertinent information that I hadn't even
considered.
I will definitely be able to modify it for our use.

Regards
Michael

Subject: Re: [DC] Peelable Mask Note

We came to this note recently:

PEELABLE SOLDER MASKS: Shall resist to wave soldering and reflow
soldering, in Lead and Lead-free process, while keeping good peelability
before and after thermal stress (also out of plated-through holes with
maximum diameter of 3mm), and high tear resistance. The coating must not
change the resistance of carbon-conductive inks when covered with
peelable solder masks (when present on board), and shall give no
discolouration of base material and no corrosion of copper, gold, silver
or pre-soldered surfaces. No residue will be tolerated outside the drawn
zones.

We found difficult to give more precision as the finishes change from
one mfr to another. At least with this note we cover the essentials.

Subject: [DC] Peelable Mask Note

Hello All,

I checked IPC-D-325A for a peelable solder mask note and couldn't find
one.
Does anybody know of such a sample note or does anyone have a note for
peelable solder mask They would like to share.

Thanks
