Mark,
  This can depend on your FAB shop. Most, I say Most can do .005" lines all
day and night without a problem and at no extra charge. Sometimes a shop
will charge a slight bit more for the .005" lines but if you send .006"
lines, is great for them. Unless you need lines smaller than .008", give the
shop all the room in the world... Just as a rule of thumb, (I'll take heat
for this, but) most anything less than the .005" lines will increase the
cost some, how much, is based on the FAB shop. Hope this helps. It's a
simple answer to a question that has as many answers as you want and who you

        I was curious if someone knows how narrow of a trace can I
        go until it affects board costs? I have been using 8 mil as a rule.
