In past we read many emails about V-Scoring problems. No IPC standard cover
in detail about V-Scoring (tolerance ,web thickness and angle ). In
IPC-SM-782A at 3.6.4.6 (Board Size and Panel Construction) angle is
speechified but nothing about tolerance web thickness and alignment
tolerance. In April 1998 a paper was published in IPC Circuit Expo
proceeding called PCB Penalizations by Steve Collins of Antec Corporation.
Later this paper published in IPC Designer Council Technical Journal Vol. 1
No. in January 1999. This paper cover lots of information but this is only a
valuable recommendations made by some experts NOT A INDUSTRY STANDARD.

Can any expert from IPC or Industry give some real guidance or reference on
V-Scoring. My suggestions to IPC standers Committee to cover this issue in
future.

Thanks
