I've seen many review processes. Hopefully there are 2 previous reviews prior to the final one.
    - 1st for general review of the design, schematic, page by page to ensure everything is in place (bypassing, functionality, testpoints, pwr requirements, mech. constraints, etc).
    - 2nd review to see 1st review inputs put in place, review layout w/ mfg and testing (minimal or no routing yet).

I don't know what software you using, but not everyone will be able to review the database in (if its native CAD environment, because of lack of knowledge.) Cadence Allegro

Mech. Eng, should be conversing and exchanging of data w/ designer early and mid process. By 2nd review, this should be complete.

What would a PWB technologist be? (board fab person) If you have one, great, but most of us send our boards out for fab. I would recommend that the board been sent out for quote and review w/ preliminary fabrication data. Technologest works MFG Issues, Works between CAD and MFG... Helps with notes, materials, aspect ratios... and so on.

No need for librarian to be there. If your library process is good, no need for his presence.
    True

Ugh.. another meeting for sign-off. Nobody wants to or has the time to do it again. let the responsibility fall to the designer and primary engineer to ensure all actions have been met.

Think it's better to have everyone together for placement, routing review, final 3 times per design or not following this template?

a.. PCB Designer completes all mechanical and placement issues.
b.. PCB Designer sends out database link along with meeting appointment via web based design notification system.
c.. Review team has 2 working days to check data before meeting.
        d.. Mechanical/Placement attendees:
          a.. PCB Designer
          b.. Electrical Engineer
          c.. Mechanical Engineer
          d.. PWB Technologist
          e.. Manufacturing Engineer
          f.. Test Engineer
          g.. Project Leader
a.. Electronic signoff capturing notes, deviations and a do list.
b.. PCB Designer to reschedule meeting for sign off on action items from do list.

Wondering what people are doing for there review process.

This is a snapshot of a proposed review process. Wondering if other companies have formal reviews and if so do you have a process that you stick with on all designs?
