Hmmm, interesting question.
If your world is like ours, Adam, you're specifically asking about
discretes.

Our approach has been to use Nominal (or Most in some cases) on
discretes,
and then only use Least if absloutely necessary to squeeze things to fit
(which is happening more frequently on each successive project).

We did this on prototypes anticipating feedback from assembly SEMs.
We got silence (so far).
