Andy,
...and what event might this be at? Any other
details? Sounds interesting...

this topic from a design point of view at Anaheim

as a bunch of sessions from various people from the
fab perspective.

You need to BE THERE !!!

Thanks, Suzy.. much better said.

There is a great IPC guide on HDI technology which
includes some about
blind
and buried vias...

IPC/JPCA-2315 a Design Guide for High Density
Interconnects and
Microvias...

You might want to get a copy if you don't already
have one...

Happy Holden or Mike Fitz may also have some other
reference material
for
you to look at online, Rex.

All,
I am wondering if we are is missing Happy's
point... or maybe it's me. I
think that what Happy was saying was that because
of the way you build a
board, you cannot use blind vias to go from just
any layer to just any
other layer. You have to set up the blind vias for
drilling layer pairs,
taking into consideration how you are going to
stack the board at
manufacture. How are you going to drill from layer
1 to layer 5 unless
it's controlled depth drilling?
