The next meeting of the Greater Phoenix Designers Council will be:

        7:00 -- 8:30 PM  -- Internet based service providers EDAconnect

Place:  Motorola SSTG
        8201 E. McDowell Road
        Scottsdale, AZ

DIRECTIONS:

The Motorola facility is located off McDowell Road.  Enter main lobby, West
side of building.  Inform Security that you are there to attend the
Designers Council Meeting.

Our presentation for October will be:

John Isaac of EDAconnect will talk about the Electronic Design industry
use of new and emerging Internet based service providers.

This presentation will outline the characteristics and benefits of several
of the Internet delivery and eMarketplace models.  John will then detail the
characteristics of the EDAconnect model and have some open discussions
relative to the pros and cons to the designer.   Included will be a short
demonstration of the EDAstore where designers can subscribe to EDA products
on a pay as you need basis.

EDAconnect.com: EDAconnect.com is a distributor of Electronic Design
Automation (EDA) software over the Internet.   We enable customers to
download software from our EDAstore and then purchase the use of that SW for
a subscription period.   The financial transaction can be credit card,
purchase order or other forms of payment.   The subscription can be for a
flexible period (days, weeks, months, ... permanent).
