Having an electro-mech drafting background, I find that when it comes to
the physical constraints, hole sizes and GDT issues, my answer is
metric. However, when it comes to track widths and spacing I still tend
to think in Imperial.
As more component packaging is becoming hard metric, I feel I must try
to be more 'metricated'.
I find that most of the younger engineers find it hard to relate to the
imperial dimensions anyway....

regards,

Phil Dutton C.I.D.

Hello All-

Looking for a general consensus... do you design in imperial or metric?
Not
output and documentation, but design.

Thanks,
-Chris
