Dear Mr. Gary Ferrai,

Please forward what Rick Almeda of Innoveda has to say about and any other
informative information in the SNEC meeting tomorrow; I will not make it to
the meeting from here in Atlanta. I have used both schematic capture and
layout tools from Viewlogic now Innoveda and OrCad.

Thanks in advance...

Sincerly,
Greg Kaskey

MEETING OF THE SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER
OF THE IPC DESIGNERS COUNCIL

Date: Wednesday, the 4th of October 2000

Where: Connies Restaurant - Derby, Ct.

Time: Networking 6:00pm, Meeting 7:00pm

Topic: Mergers and Mergers, Where is CAD Going?

This month's meeting will focus on where CAD is going in light of all the
mergers that have taken place. Rick Almeda of Innoveda will present their
view of this ever-changing industry. What happens to the individual CAD tools
once two or more companies merge? Do tool identities remain or do they
disappear with the sunset? Will the decrease in CAD suppliers effectively
funnel combined resources to create better tools in the future? These are
some of the questions we wish to have answered. As a major player in the
newly merged category of CAD tool suppliers, we have asked Rick to share with
us the vision Innoveda brings for the future.

Meeting host:

Our meeting host is Innoveda a leader in software solutions for the
electronic industry. Recently formed as part of a merger between Viewlogic
and Pads Software, their product offerings close the loop within the product
development cycle. Solutions include software such as schematic capture,
simulation, analysis, board layout and CAM.

You are requested to RSVP Vin Stabile by end of business on TODAY at (203)
