I remember doing pcb artworks using black crepe tape and acetates, one acetate
per layer - inking in copper fill areas!!  These days using PADs.  The computer
is much faster, gives a better output, you can cut and paste far better - you
try and run the autorouter on crepe tape!!

I am a youngster I suppose being 26.  It really depends upon how large the
company you work for and their budget!
