Khaled,
We do things like that all the time as a service bureau. What you will need
to do is get the netlist in the same format as Mentor. Orcad has an option
to output the netlist as a Mentor format so if you can get it that way, that
will help. Then you need the bill of materials along with the geometries
etc. to build a Comps file. Once you have a comps.comps_? file and the net
list correct, it's just a regular place & route job after that. The main
drawback is that you can't back annotate the ref des to Orcad automatically.
This sounds easy and for the most part, it is, the hard part is the comps
file. To help you out, use an existing design as a template and modify it
for the new design. Hope this helps. If you need more information, you can
contact me directly at the address below and I'll try to help you out more.
Have fun...
Later...

        Subject: [DC] Orcad Netlist

        Dear Designers
Can anyone of with Mentor Graphics experience help me on that.
I received a package from a customer stating that he uses the orcad
as
his schematic capture and PADS as his PCB backend.
My mission is to use this orcad netlist to route and place the
required
board on Mentor boardstation. The data he sent me was (*.net, *.olb,
*.dsn), how am I going to use these files to go on to layout ?
Is there a white paper or a known hand-on experience that I can use
?

        Need Advice.
Thank You and have a nice day.
