Capture and Layout are both being kept alive as products. The work on the
10.0 Layout is continuing. The requirements that we test the
ever-living-daylights out of it before shipment will push the delivery date
out into next year, but that is what everyone really wants and believes is
for the best. With Cadence on the team, many doors are opening for people
who need to mix Capture and Layout with Concept and Allegro workstations and
many more doors will be opening to Layout customers who need the analysis
tools which Cadence can provide. In one word, the buyout means
"opportunity".
