Friends and colleagues:

It is a touching story. I have received this mail several times.
However, before you forward any more mail out to your friends, check first
the statement made by American Cancer Society.
http://www.cancer.org/chain.html
The American Cancer Society receives donations to spend on cancer research.
She does not donate money to herself. No fund raising efforts are being
made by the American Cancer Society using chain letters of any kind. The
email address [log in to unmask] is inactive. Once you check it out, you may
decide if you want to forward the mail.

I am sorry for making the mail traffic even busier!
