Go to www.ultracad.com and check out Doug Brooks' article Fusing Current:
When Traces Melt Without a Trace.  He gives you some pretty basic formulas
for current to cross section and cross section to time calculations.  Be
sure to pay attention to his cautionary statements. The one issue he does
not address is segment length required to form the a fusible link if that is
your intent.
